Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Event Coordinator to join our nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit event management and a strong passion for our mission. This role involves planning, executing, and evaluating various events that promote our cause and engage our community.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Event Planning and Coordination:

    • Develop and manage detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and logistics.
    • Coordinate with vendors, speakers, and volunteers to ensure successful event execution.
    • Oversee all aspects of events, including venue setup, registration, and post-event evaluation.
  2. Marketing and Promotion: (Experience in this area is a plus)

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns for events.
    • Utilize social media and other channels to maximize attendance and engagement.
    • Collect and analyze feedback to improve future events.
  3. Community Engagement:

    • Foster relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance event participation and sponsorship.
    • Represent the organization at community meetings and events to promote our mission.
  4. Budget Management:

    • Monitor and manage event budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
    • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  5. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare post-event reports highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for future events.
    • Keep thorough records of all event-related activities and communications.
