You’ll have a wide range of opportunities to grow and develop your career in an inclusive environment where you’ll feel valued and supported to be your best – both personally and professionally.What You Will DoThe Software Developer is responsible for having a strong aptitude for understanding complex business problems and translating their technical knowledge into practical, implementable solutions that will drive high impact business value.The successful candidate will work closely with other team members to maintain internal applications and develop new products and services.Work with stakeholders, technology, and agile project managers to define business requirements for every scrum / project and map out end-to-end solutionsDesign, develop, enhance, modify, and maintain application code and software solutions based on specific business requirementsLiaise with internal user groups as needed to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirementsEnsures that functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating creative solutionsBe an integral part of the Information System’s team focused on the effective development and support of internal facing applicationsWork collaboratively with peers and business partners to deliver high quality projects and innovative solutions that advance Fidelity’s position within the Mutual Fund IndustryWhat We’re Looking ForDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics or Mathematics or equivalent working experience2+ years of experience in software development, preferable in the financial services/mutual fund/investment industryExperience with full stack development practices including Angular and/or TypescriptDevelopment experience in Progress OpenEdge or other database platforms such as Oracle or MySQLEffective communication skills with ability to prepare project documentation & presentationsKnowledge and experience in developing applications for Fundserv’s products is preferredThe Skills You BringExcellent written and verbal communicationsStrong attention to detailStrong analytical, conceptual, and innovative problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently while being in a team environmentStrong technical insight and experience to inform, guide, challenge and support technical decisionsSome of the ways we’ll help you feel valued and supported as part of our team:
