Job description: The employee in this role will be responsible for accurately calculating and withholding Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) taxes from employees’ paychecks in compliance with federal regulations. They will also ensure timely and accurate reporting and payment of FICA taxes to the appropriate government agencies. The individual must have a strong attention to detail and understanding of tax laws to ensure full compliance. This position requires excellent organizational skills and a high level of confidentiality as they will be handling sensitive payroll information. The employee will work closely with the finance and human resources departments to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. They will be an integral part of the financial team at Northwestern Mutual, helping to maintain financial stability and legal compliance for the organization.
