Job Description:

Northwestern Mutual is seeking a detail-oriented FICA Tax Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) regulations, including the correct calculation and reporting of FICA taxes for employees.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate payroll records to ensure FICA taxes are correctly withheld and reported quarterly and annually.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit FICA tax reports to appropriate government agencies in a timely manner.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits related to FICA tax compliance, providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Policy Development: Collaborate with management to develop and implement policies and procedures related to FICA tax compliance.
• Communication: Liaise with various departments to ensure understanding of FICA tax implications and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll or tax compliance, preferably with FICA regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
