Job description: DescriptionPosition at GroupMDirector of Marketing and Communications, GroupM CanadaWe are seeking an experienced Director of Marketing and Communications to lead the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies for GroupM, a leading media agency. Reporting into the North American Chief Marketing Officer and the Canadian Executive Director of Marketing, Strategy and Operations, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns, as well as experience in leading a team of marketing and communications professionals.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that support the goals of the business and our agencies
  • Lead a team of marketing and communications professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to identify opportunities for marketing and communication initiatives
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for marketing and communication projects
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials, including collateral, presentations, and digital content
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication campaigns, making recommendations for improvement as needed
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into marketing and communication strategies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of marketing and communication professionals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and clients (English & French)
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines
  • Experience with digital marketing and social media platforms
  • Knowledge of the media industry is a plus.
