Together, we are building a better, more inclusive GTA for everyone.The OpportunityThe Manager , Family Partnershipsr, will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the recruitment and file review process for potential partner families (applicants). This role will handle all aspects of the applicant process, from developing and supporting outreach efforts, to managing the full file review process, to supporting applicants with the mortgage process and ultimately assisting during the signing of required legal contracts with successful applicants. This role will involve direct interaction with potential partner families throughout the review process and will be focused on optimizing the customer experience for our applicant families.The Manager , Family Partnerships will have one direct report, Coordinator, Family Partnerships as well as the management of one volunteer team: the Volunteer Review team. This position will work closely with all members of the Family Partnerships team to ensure the effective processing of potential applicant and the smooth transition of successful partner families into their new Habitat homes.This role will also work closely with the Director, Family Partnerships to provide thought leadership on process improvements within the review process, optimization of our recruitment efforts and mobilizing and growing our relationship with external stakeholders, such as financial institutions and Community Partners. Presentations to community partners and organizations will also be a key area of engagement.Your Impact
- Represent Habitat for Humanity GTA as a Brand Ambassador by modeling our values and guiding principles
- Learn, understand and participate in the Health and Safety Program
- Alongside the Family Partnerships Coordinator(s), oversee the application process and review of potential partner families
- Manage inflow of applications and work with families to ensure complete applications
- Arrange and schedule, virtual or in-person interviews and home tours
- Prepare and present recommended files for review by the Family File Review Committee
- Prepare applications readiness for mortgage lender review and coordinate with Mortgage specialist as required
- Prepare appropriate legal documents and arrange for review with applicant family
- Coordinate the occupancy and closing periods with the Partner families, appropriate lawyers, mortgage specialists and colleagues on the FP team
- Manage team of Volunteer Reviewers
- Manage the process, criteria and priority for the application reviews and volunteer’s review
- Ensure Volunteer team is kept up to date on new Partnerships, projects, policy changes and other meaningful changes to the Habitat GTA Homeownership program.
- Provide training for new volunteers or for new technology implemented by the Family Partnerships team
- Alongside the Director, Family Partnership, and the MarComm team, develop and implement a multi-faceted awareness and recruitment strategy.
- Collaborate with the MarComm team towards utilization of an assortment of marketing channels such as digital, community engagement, partnership creation, print media, media engagement.
- Work with Community Activation Coordinator to build community awareness of the Habitat GTA Homeownership program and foster strong partnerships with community organization and businesses in our communities served.
- Analyze our recruitment process to determine if our outreach efforts are reaching the intended audience
- Additional responsibilities include
- Liaise and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders including but not limited to; developers, lawyers, financial institutions and other sectoral partners
- Working with Executive Lead, Director and Senior Manager on annual business planning and ongoing departmental reporting to CEO, Board of Directors and staff;
- Leading various departmental projects identified through strategic and business planning processes
- Supporting with the review, revision and development of all policies and procedures associated with the department for approval either by the Executive Lead, CEO or Board of Directors;
- Conducting public presentations and informational based communication to a variety of audiences both virtually and in-person.
- A commitment to continued process improvement and optimization with a focus on efficiency and the customer experience
- Other departmental task/duties, as assigned.
What You Bring
- Experience with managing complex programs, requiring real-time decision making and supporting staff
- Comfortable in engaging with internal and external stakeholders, at various levels, in a professional and knowledgeable manner
- Forward thinking, innovative and focussed on process improvement
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Comfortable delivering presentations to small or medium sized groups, both in-person and virtually
- Experience in handling customer enquiries and complaints with a focus on customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment and coordinating with team members from other departments
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite: Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Desire to make an impact in the lives of families and the drive to grow with this fast-paced organization

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring products meet the necessary quality standards set by the company.
