The opportunity
Heart & Stroke is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to drive lottery initiatives and elevate our brand presence. How you will make an impact every day
Campaign planning, management, and execution
- Develops marketing plans for specific channels, to support lottery campaign goals and objectives
- Identifies areas of opportunity and innovative marketing tactics to retain existing customers and acquire net new
- Develops and executes “off-season” communication plans and materials
- Supports the Senior Manager, Lottery with the development and execution of ad hoc projects as needed
- Contributes to the development of core offering and key messages and campaign look/feel
- Supervise the day-to-day interactions with agency partners to ensure core messages and brand equity elements are delivered across all plan tactics consistently and effectively
- Partner with legal and lottery operation teams to ensure compliance
- Leads the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring that each element is flawlessly coordinated and on budget, primarily focusing on mass, direct mail, telemarketing and PR
- With input from the Lottery Operations team, leads the creation of all communications and other public facing materials as required with lottery winners’
- Optimize the customer journey to enhance conversion rates at each stage of the sales funnel
- Partner with media agency to identify media innovation opportunities and manage execution
- Ensures projects are managed within agreed annual budget and course corrects where required to deliver planned outcomes
- Participates in departmental meetings
- Ensures online storage of assets and approvals are kept up to date
- Works to ensure annual budgets are tracked and achieved and supplier contracts are adhered to and kept updated
- Attends loads and draws if required
Marketing Analytics
- In form the data analytics team on required customer segmentation
- Monitor performance and campaign data to track effectiveness
- Primary lead on competitor monitoring and leverage insights to identify areas of opportunity
- Contributes to the Lottery post assessment and key lessons learned, making business improvement recommendations
General lottery operations and management
- Leads partnership with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Marketing, Communications, and Procurement
- Acts as liaison with Mission teams to translate for lottery content strategy
- Primary contact with prizing suppliers, identify prizing options, solidify contracts, adhere to budgets and prize fulfillment
- Participate in departmental and team meetings
Who we need
Experience
- 4 – 6 years of working experience
- 5+ years of experience specifically in a data driven, direct sales environments
- Experience developing and managing vendor relationships
- Ideal candidate has worked in a gaming / regulated environment
Education
- University degree in Marketing
Skills
- Proven ability to apply data and segmentation to marketing tactics and communication design
- Anticipates and plans for future events, trends, problems and opportunities and exercises sound judgment.
- Evaluates reasonable risk-taking opportunities and develops creative solutions, stimulating new ways of thinking and solving problems.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to establish solid working relationships with team and vendors at all levels
- Ability to work flexibly, effectively and efficiently under pressure
- Self-initiative and can-do attitude is a must.
- Strong Project Management skills including timeline development, delivery of successful projects on time with attention to details; doing do in a digital environment a plus
- Ability to think creatively and develop new ideas
- Strong understanding of market research development and application
- Microsoft office including strong Excel skills

– Communicate complex mathematical and statistical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
– Perform quantitative research and analysis to support decision-making and risk management

– Contribute to the development and enhancement of quantitative analytics tools and platforms
– Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise in the development and execution of trading strategies

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, programming, and statistical analysis, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
