Successful completion of the summer program would pave the way for you to obtain insurance licensing and secure a full-time position with HUB International.If you are energized by ambiguity, love to problem solve and are motivated by experiential learning, this is the summer internship that you’ve been looking for!What You’ll DoOur Summer Program will introduce you to the world of insurance and will actively engage you in a variety of tasks/projects within the Sales, Operations, and Client Service arenas. You’ll learn about:
- The Clients we serve and the vast industries they represent
- Types of insurance we provide with a focus on our Commercial, Personal, or Employee Benefits line of business
- Insurance carriers with whom we partner
- Basic laws/regulations governing our business and how we ensure compliance
- How we set and execute individual client strategies
- The HUB Sales Process (includes prospecting approaches, needs identification, proposals, and stewardship)
What You’ll Need for Success
- Any of the following: High School Diploma or GED, College Graduates, Final Year College Students
- For college undergraduates/graduates – Preferred areas of study include, but are not limited to, General Business Management, Risk Management & Insurance, Marketing, Communications, Economics, & Finance.
- Interest in a long-term career in the insurance industry
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Remarkable attention to detail
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Strong motivation and curiosity to learn
- Proficiency in MS Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- In-depth collaboration and team skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude that embraces teamwork and learning
