Title: Child and Youth Care Worker
Location: Calgary, AB
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
Description:
– Provide therapeutic support and interventions to children and youth in care
– Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
– Offer emotional and behavioural support to children and youth
– Ensure the safety and well-being of children and youth in care
– Collaborate with a team of professionals to address the needs of children and youth
– Participate in case conferences and team meetings
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of interactions and progress
– Work closely with families, schools, and other community resources to support children and youth
Qualifications:
– Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
– Experience working with children and youth with complex needs
– Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behaviour management techniques
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
– Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Record Check
