Job description: The Ottawa Senators is a dynamic and innovative organization dedicated to driving success through exceptional customer relationship management strategies. We are looking for a motivated and analytical CRM Analyst Intern to join our team and contribute to our efforts in maximizing customer engagement and driving sales initiatives.As a CRM Analyst Intern, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Sales and Marketing teams by utilizing Salesforce/KORE to manage customer relationships and drive new leads into the sales funnel. You’ll collaborate with various departments, become the in-house KORE expert, and ensure that our CRM tools are effectively optimized for maximum performance.DurationThis is a full-time internship placement from September – December 2024Essential Functions

  • Utilize SalesForce/KORE and support ticketing, premium, and sponsorship related campaigns to manage existing customers and drive new leads into the sales funnel.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the data team and corporate/premium sales teams to become the in-house KORE expert and ensure that KORE is being maximized to it’s full potential and is up to date with accurate inventory and rate cards.
  • Monitors the sales contract process to ensure timely execution and completeness of information, verifying that the needs of all stakeholders are being met. (BI, Management, Sales, Service, Finance and Legal)
  • Assist with management of the Salesforce/KORE CRM platform including ongoing support requests and administrative needs of users. Manage database access, administer, and configure CRM users including user profiles and permissions.
  • Management of sales campaigns and dashboards in Salesforce/KORE. Create sales opportunities within campaigns for business development representatives to maintain or generate revenue.
  • Create workflows, processes, and validation rules to aid in business process. Create automation for repeating database tasks.
  • Responsible for the efficient capture, maintenance, hygiene, and integrity of SSE data.
  • Leverage all potential data capture channels via contests, website, email, events, and surveys to support strategies to continually grow the Senators CRM and move leads from prospect to purchase to loyalty..

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a university co-op or college program requiring a placement for credit
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Previous experience or coursework related to customer relationship management or data analysis is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft programs (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
