You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where reliability and speed to market are essential for success.Location: Remote CanadaReporting to: Technology ManagerThese are some of the key ingredients to the role:Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, design patterns, testing, and debuggingDeep knowledge of Java 17/21, lambdas, and streaming functionalityExperience with Docker containers, microservices, serverless development, cloud computing, and AWS services (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.)Solid understanding of consuming, producing, and designing REST web servicesFamiliarity with message brokers (Amazon SQS/SNS) and system logging/monitoring tools like DataDog and CloudWatchUnderstanding of continuous delivery, deployment, integration, CI/CD best practices, and tools like Jenkins and GitHub ActionsExperience with NoSQL database, relational databases (MySQL), data persistence, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), and version control (Git)Support the financial microservices in the production environments on an on-call scaleWhat will you bring to the table?Responsible for product functionality, maintaining and introducing new servicesIdentify innovative solutions with minimal guidance and contribute to process improvementsWork in a team, providing mentorship to other team membersAdhere to and contribute to established patterns, processes, and best practicesConduct unit tests, code reviews, and ensure high-quality pull requestsAt JET, this is on the menu:Our teams forge connections internally and work with some of the best-known brands on the planet, giving us truly international impact in a dynamic environment.Fun, fast-paced and supportive, the JET culture is about movement, growth and about celebrating every aspect of our JETers.
