Motion Graphic & Video Producer
Job location: This is a remote/hybrid position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa, Canada. If you are located in Ottawa, please note we work in a hybrid environment where you will be expected to be in office 3 days per week.
About the team
The Motion Graphic and Video Producer develops video and motion graphic content across a variety of media and projects. In this position, the individual will play a pivotal role in developing and evaluating the quality of our content, including product demonstrations, announcement videos, event graphics packages, product explainers, and more. This will involve creating and enhancing content across diverse platforms including web, social media, and mobile platforms.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Creative, this position will work with team members within the Global Marketing team and across the company to ensure content created champions our brand vision, our proprietary approach, and innovative products in ways that drive engagement and action.
What you will do
- Enhance Kinaxis’s brand style and visual language as in motion, animation and editorial though creation of compelling animations, recording engaging presentations and vodcasts, and capturing high-quality footage to effectively communicate our supply chain solutions at a high-level
- Design and animate graphics packages, transitions, and templates, to be leveraged by editors and cross-functional collaborators. Simultaneously, maintain an organized library of assets for company-wide use.
- Develop video content for our various channels, including on-site, organic, paid social, events, etc., to meet marketing goals around brand awareness, product education, and lead generation
- Maintain and manage the content project pipeline from conception to completion. Design, track, and produce various storyboards and motion video deliverables from start to finish, often in collaboration with others
- Contribute to evaluating and refining the Marketing team’s video production process by exploring plugins and automation tools
- Guide non-technical contributors through the video production process efficiently
- Coordinate and assist in directing live video streams for events, tutorials, and trainings
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Communications, Film, or related
- 5 years’ progressive work experience including experience with broadcasting/streaming, video animation, production, editing or similar
- Demonstrable video animation and editing experience supplemented including a portfolio and reel that showcases creativity, technical abilities, and high quality projects
- Proven track record in effectively leading and managing projects, overseeing project timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication
- Exceptional proficiency in clear, concise, professional communication and collaboration with the ability to communicate across to individuals with diverse skill and knowledge levels
- Creative mindset with an inventive approach to work through problems and arrive at well-constructed recommendations with the ability to balance between unconventional and established practices in the pursuit of driving innovation
- Problem solver, change champion, and passionate about delivering results
- Knowledge of a 3D package (Blender, Cinema4D, Maya, Maxon, etc.), YouTube Live, OBS, and Life-streaming platforms
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry design standards and trends
