About the Role

LexisNexis Canada has an immediate opening for a recently practicing lawyer with experience in Employment law.

Responsibilities

Maintaining relationships with key LexisNexis stakeholders within Canada, the US and the UK.

Writing, reviewing and editing practice notes, checklists, flowcharts, precedents and other practice-related materials.

Monitoring trends and legal developments in this practice area.

Creating and delivering content reflecting leading legal and business practices by recruiting legal practitioners.

Making recommendations concerning overall content strategy and expansion.

Executing content and product development strategies within a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality content.

Supporting sales and marketing efforts via product demonstrations, trainings and other initiatives.

Requirements

Be a practicing lawyer in Canada with a J.D./LL.B and membership in a Canadian bar.

Possess extensive practice experience in Employment law.

Be knowledgeable in property pertaining to ideas and technology trends and workflow.

Have a well-connected professional network of lawyers specializing in property of the mind and technology.

Be a proficient, pragmatic writer who writes efficiently and succinctly within deadlines.

Have legal writing expertise, drafting and editing client materials, law journals, and CLE presentations.

Be proficient with MS Office products.

Be highly organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
