Job description: Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Manager, Communications, RBC Wealth Management will support the development and execution of internal and external communications strategies designed to engage a global team while enhancing and protecting the reputation of RBC Wealth Management.Working closely with partners across Communications, Marketing and the various Wealth Management businesses, the Manager will contribute to business objectives through creative storytelling, employee engagement, events, supporting proactive and reactive media relations, and looking for ways to promote Wealth Management across RBC.What will you do?

  • Promote Wealth Management priorities and successes internally through creative storytelling, internal newsletters, articles, events and videos
  • Manage digital employee channels and play an important role in developing the strategy for these channels
  • Ensure that all communications are aligned to business priorities and relevant to a global employee audience in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia
  • Help to manage media relations activities, social media posts, and external storytelling in key priority areas
  • Develop relationships with Wealth Management business partners and work collaboratively with key internal partners helping to enhance the profile of Wealth Management across the enterprise
  • Work with enterprise partners to incorporate enterprise initiatives such as Brand, Purpose, Diversity and Inclusion and other organizational priorities into Wealth Management communications
  • Support global town halls and other internal events, including agendas, presentation decks, speaking preparation, invitations and follow-up surveys

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • University degree and/or other post-secondary education (or equivalent experience) in communications, public relations, marketing or journalism
  • Communications professional with minimum 3+ years of experience
  • Exceptional ability to write compelling content and headlines that increase employee engagement
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to advise and work across multiple partners and stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in the wealth management and/or financial services sector
  • Experience supporting senior executives
  • Familiarity with graphic design and video editing
  • Familiarity with email distribution programs and/or intranet management and publishing
