GTB is a fast-growing team with a focus on the Americas, particularly Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and we are seeking top tier talent to complement our organization.Join a purpose-driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.PurposeThe Manager, Merchant Services – Sales Operations contributes to the profitability and revenue growth of the Global Business Markets (GBM) portfolio by supporting the sales team and optimizing the sales process to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.The Manager is responsible for activating merchant services sales processes across all business segments (Small Business, Commercial and Corporate) and will work closely with the segment stakeholders and partners on executing the sales processes for new product launches, refresh of existing capabilities and engagement model. As part of the role, the Manager will work on identifying and understanding pain points arising through the merchant sales cycle. Success in this role will be demonstrated by improved satisfaction of the sales teams and through the growth of new opportunities.The Manager will work independently, receiving direction from the Senior Manager and will participate in an interdivisional product and sales groups, such as Global transactions Banking, Bank’s Operational organizations (Legal Counsel, Risk and Compliance, AML, Call Centre, Accounting, Systems, Finance, Credit Solutions and Customer Service, etc.). The Manager must also be comfortable in managing a complex array of external vendors and partners.Because of the complexities involved in this product line, prior relevant experience in product management, product engagement, or sales enablement would be a highly desirable asset.What You’ll Do:Contribute to the business development and financial success of Sales through the development of customized client-facing material. Work with Sales, the Proposal Writing team and partner on ad-hoc requests (e.g., process development and execution, executive support, etc.).Collaborate with the Merchant Services Product and Sales Enablement teams on the merchant services sales journey to ensure success of new sales processes and product capabilities are understood and are utilized across key segments and within the distribution network.Ensure adherence to the merchant sales governance framework in collaboration with the stakeholders and segment partners. Analyze and evaluate the sales process, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and propose and implement solutions to streamline and improve overall sales operations.Support the maintenance of sales process documentation, including sales playbooks, standard operating procedures, and best practices. Ensure the sales team is well-informed and adhering to established processes.Support the fostering of an environment in which the internal stakeholders and external partners pursue effective and efficient operations, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations of operational risk, sales conduct, regulatory and compliance risk.What You’ll Bring:Degree/post graduate degree, preferably in business, marketing, or a related fieldProven experience in sales operations, enablement, project/portfolio management or similar roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and sales teamsStrong presentation skills with the ability to articulate results, challenges, recommendations and solutions to various people at different levels across the organizationAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of Global Banking Markets, products, and sales cultureGood understanding of the Small Business, Commercial and Corporate Bank’s objectives, strategies, and structure is also requiredFamiliarity with sales methodologies, processes, and best practices3+ years’ experience with stakeholder and vendor management and relevant experience in the merchant services and/or payment industryWork Arrangement: Work in a standard office-based environment (in-person); non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
