Role Summary
This role is accountable for leading the strategic development, management and implementation of KPMG International’s Digital and Marketing Technology. It is a senior level role requiring a seasoned technology professional with an ability to influence at the executive level. This role is responsible to lead and grow a technology Centre of Excellence within the KPMG global network to deliver front-office transformation technology solutions. All outputs and activities must be to the highest possible standards and the successful candidate will need to display exceptional leadership, communication and influencing skills.
What you will do
Key Accountabilities
Strategy and Governance
- Develop high impact strategies in partnership with Marketing Heads, the CIO office, strategy leads and other senior key stakeholders. Consult and work with the Heads of Digitals and CMOs across key markets, to develop organizational capabilities and competence in digital channels and technologies, and that reflect and respond to the overall needs of the business and our audiences
- Chair internal governance discussions, which include participation from senior executive leadership from around the world, to ensure strategic alignment to deliver globally consistent digital customer experience
- Monitor progress against strategic plans to ensure achievement of strategic goals and ROI
- Drive the communication of the strategy throughout the organization and beyond in partnership with the executive team and the Steering Committee
Developing, Growing and Maintaining the Global Home.KPMG Ecosystem
- The Home.KPMG ecosystem is one of the largest and most sophisticated marketing technology platforms at a global scale.
- Oversee the technical development roadmap for the global platform, including the end-to-end lifecycle from business requirements documentation through to UAT, release management and user adoption and training
- Identifying and integrating relevant technologies to deliver positive site visitor experience and effective business strategies
- Play a lead role, working with the global marketing teams to ensure that digital best practice is embedded in all our relevant marketing campaigns
- Develop robust web analytics and campaign analysis with recommendations for improvements
- Oversee the centralized content publishing approach for kpmg.com/global
Leadership and Talent Management
- Develop and maintain a high performing team focused on execution, transformation, collaboration, transparency, accountability and innovative thinking
- Attract, develop and retain top strategy talent ensuring appropriate resourcing levels and structure to deliver strategy and meet business objectives
- Responsible for providing leadership and managerial direction to the Global Digital Marketing team. This includes responsibility for objectives setting, performance management, informal and formal coaching, professional and career development
- Inspire and lead the offshore resources and ensure a flawless operation across geographies
Internal ‘Network’ Management and Internal Communications
- Develop a robust internal communications plan to ensure effective engagement with different audiences including the Heads of Marketing and the country based Digital Marketing leaders to ensure they are aware and engaged in all developments/program activities
- To be a role model for KPMG’s global digital community, liaising and communicating with national and global groups as required
Budget Management
- Responsible for the effective use of a multimillion dollar budget and report/demonstrate value and ROI
- Work with procurement, and other internal stakeholders, on vendor contract pricing negotiations
- Ensure technical development projects are delivered on time and on budget
- Work with Finance to produce regular reporting to the Global CMO
What you bring to the role
Experience and Knowledge
- Ability to collaborate with senior executives (CIO, CMO, Heads of Market, GMT leaders) within a highly matrixed organization and delivering high profile programs. Working closely with leadership on strategy development, governance, budget and performance reviews is essential
- Experience in acting as the senior liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams with a strong ability to understand, translate business requirements to technical product development and ensure delivery of development projects on time and to budget
- Expertise in leading RFPs, contracts negotiation, and vendor relationship management with sophisticated third party organizations
- Demonstrable success in developing and implementing complex, international digital marketing and change management programs in a professional services environment. Leadership skills and talent management, including experience of organizational design and leading multidisciplinary teams across geographies
- Comprehensive knowledge of digital marketing, social media and mobile marketing
- Strong influencing and communication skills to act professionally and persuasively when collaborating with stakeholders
- A strategic and lateral thinker with deep commercial awareness
- Ability to work flexible hours as required – connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones and cultures. A global mindset and willingness to travel internationally if needed
Technical Skills, Abilities and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field of study. An MBA would be an asset
- At least 15 years of experience in digital and technology fields (minimum seven years at a senior level) and demonstrable success in the formulation and implementation of strategic plans ideally for professional services
- More than 6 years of a proven track record in digital and technology leadership
- Strong business acumen and highly developed communication and relationship skills
- Project management and negotiation skills
