Job description: The Opportunity: The Facilities Associate is a multi-skilled role responsible for assisting with the onsite day to day operations of the assigned buildings.Any MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by April 03. Applications received beyond that date are not guaranteed consideration.Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Daily floor inspection including checklist of overall condition of premise.
  • Flag issues and open tickets as required using a BMC system.
  • Responsible for receiving / dock services as key point of contact.
  • Support mailroom customer facing services.
  • Use of UPS Worldwide Ship Manager for processing outbound shipments that support operations including packages/coolers / handling food and dry ice shipments.
  • Receive purchase orders through SAP or SRM. Ensure packing slips are sent to the purchasing coordinator. Complete reversals in SAP as required.
  • Office Supply Inventory & bulk ordering – office supplies, janitorial, coffee, etc.
  • Support all standard facilities services to ensure areas are stocked, organized, neat and tidy/arranged as required.
  • Assist with the inventory and maintenance of existing furniture and equipment.
  • Stocking of kitchens and copy rooms, includes resupply and inventory.
  • Assist Service Coordinator with new hire onboarding and work area maintenance.
  • Interact with, develop, and maintain positive vendor relationships relating to facility.
  • Monitor helpdesk tickets and respond/resolve employee issues.
  • Provide basic equipment maintenance testing a/v equipment etc…
  • Support team with meeting set ups including the arrangement of tables and chairs, flip charts, AV testing, etc.

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (SAP Knowledge an asset)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to lift/carry 50+ lbs. boxes
  • Wear steel toe shoes and operating pallet trucks and other dock equipment
  • General knowledge of basic repairs / hand tools
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instruction carefully
  • Hotel & Restaurant Management experience considered an asset
