We are seeking out a talented Sales Intern based at our Brampton location, working with one of our Customer Development (Account) Teams. This is your chance to gain experience selling and interacting with retail customers, and to work on key projects that address current and future business needs for a customer account team.A day in the life of a Sales Intern
As a sales intern, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse sales initiatives for various customers and product categories, while also contributing ideas for in-store executions. You will be involved in special projects such as customer analytics and retail store strategy development, aimed at maximizing the visibility and profitability of Nestle’s products. This role provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to gain valuable experience across multiple projects within the customer development team.You will also:
- Assist with analytics, reporting, and various special projects for a customer account team.
- Gain exposure to front line account experiences (merchandising, building rapport with various Nestlé clients, etc.).
- Have opportunities to make meaningful contributions to our brands and categories through purposeful projects and initiatives.
- Build a solid understanding of the total sales function from planning to operational implementation.
- Be flexible and work from the Brampton Sales Office at least 2 days per week and work from home the balance of the week, as this is a hybrid role. In addition, you will spend up to two weeks in store with our field retail sales team to gain front line sales representative experience.
What will make you successful?
As the successful candidate, you will be a self-starter and have excellent interpersonal skills coupled with experience working cross-functionally with sales and marketing. You will have proven problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to gain insights and develop recommendations. You will need to be results focused, detail oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment managing several complex priorities.Also, you are/have:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus on Business Administration, or equivalent.
- The ability to build great relationships with internal stakeholders from various backgrounds and work collaboratively on multiple projects.
- Passionate to build and grow brands and business, with ‘can-do’ attitude, and a willingness to challenge the status quo
- A results and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Proof of valid G class driver’s license as well as access to a personal vehicle is strongly preferred. You will be compensated for business mileage.
- Previous Sales experience is an asset, but not mandatory.
