This is a great opportunity for someone who’s eager to explore the intersection of investment strategy, technology, and data—while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.As an intern, you’ll work on cross-functional projects that support the development of our proprietary tools and capabilities. You’ll contribute to research that helps shape the team’s future roadmap and get a front-row seat to the day-to-day work of a portfolio construction consultant. • Conduct detailed analysis with a focus on portfolio construction and risk management to assist with asset allocation, portfolio structure and implementation across multiple asset classes and strategies
• Developing various analytical reports related to portfolio construction, risk management and performance attribution while ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Assist in the daily operation of Picton Investment’s Portfolio Construction Consultation Service working with the Sales, Product, Quantitative Research, Investment & Marketing Teams
• Support cross-departmental technology/data initiatives to enhance proprietary capabilities
• Collaborate to research that will help guide the team’s development roadmap

What You Bring

• Student working toward achieving post-secondary degree or diploma in relevant discipline
• Currently enrolled in a formal co-op program with a recognized post-secondary institution
• Programming experience in a data science/statistical programming language
• Ability to use quantitative tools and techniques to analyze data
• Familiarity with network models and their practical application in portfolio and risk management and/or machine learning concepts as they relate to portfolio construction is a plus
• A motivated self-starter who thrives both independently and in team settings
• Strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and brings an entrepreneurial mindset
