Job description: We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Toronto, Ontario. This role is within the manufacturing and healthcare industry and offers a fully remote work arrangement with occasional office days.Responsibilities:
- Handling inventory counting and reconciliation tasks
- Creating and dispatching orders to the appropriate teams, including both customers and suppliers
- Conducting monthly vendor reconciliations
- Assisting with the preparation of month-end journal entries
- Collaborating closely with various departments
- Managing Accounts Receivable (AR) orders and Purchase Orders (PO)
- Using Excel for tasks such as reconciliations and generating reports (utilizing tools such as vlookups and pivot tables)
- Utilizing Accounting Software Systems and ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning for various accounting functions
- Engaging in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, including entering vendor invoices and managing multiple vendors
- Conducting bank and cash reconciliations
- Analyzing and preparing financial statements, including balance sheet accounts, cash flow statements, and year-end financial statements
- Reviewing vendor statements and conducting statement reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Knowledge of CL Programming
- Experience with ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning
- Ability to perform various Accounting Functions
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Auditing skills
- Familiarity with Balance Sheet Account
- Experience in conducting Annual Inventory
- Ability to Enter Vendor Invoices
- Experience managing Multiple Vendors
- Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations and Cash Reconciliations
- Knowledge of Accrual Accounting, Accruals, and Monthly Accruals
- Familiarity with Accounts Receivables Systems
- Experience with LEED Accounts Payable
- Ability to Analyze Financial Statements including Bank Statements, Billing Statements, Cash Flow Statements, Consolidated Financial Statements, Credit Card Statements, Monthly Statements, Year-end Financial Statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions
- Ability to handle Purchase Orders and Sales Quotes
- Experience with Sage 100 accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
- Experience in Reconciling Bank Statements and Vendor Statements
- Ability to Review Financial Statements and perform Statement Reconciliations
