Job description: We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Business Analyst in Toronto, Ontario. This role is positioned in a hybrid workplace, with a balance of remote and in-office work. As a Financial Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in consolidating extensive data and KPIs using Power BI and advanced Excel functionalities.Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced Excel skills, including VBA, Macros, and Vlookups to manage and analyze data.

• Leverage Power BI and Tableau to visualize data and generate insightful reports.

• Consolidate and interpret large volumes of data to support business decisions.

• Regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators to inform performance management.

• Apply financial knowledge to understand and interpret data effectively.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Oversee customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role as a Financial Business Analyst.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of Excel VBA, Excel Formulas, and Macros.

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a must.

• Proven track record in KPI reporting and finance-related tasks.

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.

• Understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make swift decisions based on data.

• Adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.

• Proven experience in financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.

• High proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
