Job description: We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Manager based in Toronto, Ontario. The role is largely remote and will involve working closely with the controllership team. As a Tax Manager, you will be expected to support various tax-related tasks and be proficient with IFRS reporting.Responsibilities:

• Engage in tax provisioning tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Assist with CRA audits, providing necessary information and facilitating smooth execution

• Manage US state filing duties that are due in May, ensuring all filings are accurate and submitted promptly

• Collaborate closely with the controllership team, reporting directly to the controller

• Support another Senior Financial Analyst engaged in tax filing and reporting

• Ensure corporate tax compliance, keeping up to date with relevant legislation and guidelines

• Prepare and review complex tax returns, ensuring they are completed correctly and submitted on time

• Utilize NetSuite and IFRS reporting tools for various tax-related tasks

• Maintain accurate records and process customer credit applications efficiently
• Demonstrable experience in Annual Tax Provision
• Ability to handle Complex Tax Return
• Proficiency in Corporate Tax Compliance
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal tax regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Proven track record in tax strategy development and implementation
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to supervise a team
• Knowledge of the latest tax laws and regulations.
