The Director, Marketing – Digital Experience, plays a pivotal role in shaping Seneca Polytechnic’s digital experience for students on their postsecondary journey. As a dynamic and strategic thinker, you’re responsible for leading website and digital strategies that create wow moments that lead to enrolment and build brand strength.

Seneca recently launched a new Strategic Plan, The Next. At our core, we are committed to offering students a unique polytechnic experience and getting them career- and world-ready. And one way we’re focusing on doing that well is by evolving our online experiences to better support prospective and current students in reaching their academic and career goals.

Here’s some of what your role will involve:

  • Working collaboratively with great people across Seneca
  • Leading a terrific team of web and marketing technology experts, supporting them to be their best strategic selves
  • Developing innovative web and digital strategies that delight users and target local and international audiences through a variety of digital channels
  • Ensuring brand consistency across our online presence
  • Crafting integrated marketing strategies that drive enrolment and build brand strength
  • Steering agency and stakeholder relationships to create compelling digital experiences and journeys
  • Providing leadership, strategic guidance and data-driven strategies

To help us get there, we’re looking for someone who:

  • Thrives in the digital space and lives and breathes all things digital
  • Understands that CX and UX play a critical role in the consumer’s digital experience
  • Is comfortable leading multi-channel digital strategies that serve the big picture experience
  • Can operate at different levels – from 10,000 feet strategic to immersed in the details
  • Has an experimental mindset and loves AB testing, journey mapping and customer personas – always pushing for new and innovative ways to enhance and evolve our digital experiences
  • Can champion front-end and back-end web design while keeping the consumer’s needs at the forefront
  • Is tech savvy with a love for optimizing web and marketing technologies
  • Can handle multiple demands on their time and is solutions-oriented
  • Is friendly, fun, strategic, confident, engaging and creative – what everyone wants in a team leader and member

What you bring to Seneca:

  • You have a degree in marketing or a similar field of study, or a combination of education, training, and experience
  • You’ve been leading digital experience for years – ideally, 8+ and have a proven track record of developing and evolving websites to take them from good to great

  • You work extremely well with people – all people
