Role Summary
As part of KPMG’s commitment to invest in digital marketing and marketing technologies, the Global Digital team have been tasked with owning front-end and AEM development as part of an in-house capability, in order to manage our managed services, and offshore teams, which handle the development for home.kpmg sites, as well as integrations with 3rd party systems, such as CRM and marketing automation. This capability reduces costs as there is reduced need for expensive third party developers, increases speed to deliver updates on a more frequent and iterative basis, and increases quality as we have greater control over codebases and standards.
What you will do
Based in Toronto, the role of Senior Front End Developer is to:
- Work closely with the technical architect, assisting on the creation and/or updates on standards, policies and processes to ensure successful delivery and consistency across development and products
- Work closely with the Business Analysts to understand the business requirements and working on the technical solutions for them
- Lead the development of integrated product suite that can be leveraged across KPMG member firms globally. This includes kpmg.com websites, mobile sites and applications, analytics and standards monitoring tools, social media tools and event management systems.
- Lead application design and development processes, and set team objectives based on business priorities
- Lead the implementation and management of best practices and standards in application design
- Lead developers and UAT managers working on the delivery for the Global Digital
- Will lead the team (Managed Services team) that Manages the Software development systems, source code control, defect tracking, continuous build & integration
- Lead the T-shirt sizing of the development
- Lead the delivery and quality of the build of web based applications built on modern software stacks
- Support the technical architect for the creation and maintenance of the technical documentation for the software solutions provided to the network
- Providing fair and accurate feedback, identifying and removing obstacles, and aligning performance expectations with business priorities
- Work with other internal stakeholders, including member firm digital team leads, Global IT and Global Supplier Management, and external vendors/providers in the delivery of projects, maintaining and building excellent and collaborative working relationships
- Support the Global Digital Marketing team in the successful launch of products and transition to an operational state for global adoption by country member firms
- Supporting the Technical Architect and Business Analysts by contribute to the development of product tactics and roadmap

The Developer will establish, run and evolve the development standards and processes used by Global Digital Marketing in the development, delivery and operationalization of digital products. The ability to liaise effectively with non-technical stakeholders, is ideal as a soft skill. Attention to detail and an ability to provide a high level of service to internal clientele and strong relationships with internal and external vendors are also an important aspect of this role.

- Understanding of cloud services (Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure) are a must
- Full understanding of MVVM, and similar patterns
- Knowledge on the use of transactional and non-transactional data. Feel comfortable with SQL and non-SQL product offerings
- Fluent on GIT, Bitbucket or any other code repository solutions
- Understanding on CI/CD and code-pipeline
- Code development experience using languages (2 or more at least of the followings): such as Javascript, Java, C#, python
- NodeJS is a plus
