The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Snowflake architecture, design, implementation, and optimization to drive our data warehouse initiatives. The Data Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, managing and mentoring team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of data engineering projects.Responsibilities:Lead the data engineering team in the design, development, and maintenance of our Snowflake data warehouseCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data pipelinesDevelop and implement best practices for Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and ETL processesWork with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirementsManage the team’s resources, including hiring, training, and performance managementContinuously evaluate and improve our data engineering processes, tools, and technologiesEnsure compliance with data security and privacy regulationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldAt least 8 years of experience in data engineering, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Snowflake data platform and data warehouse4 years of Experience managing a team of data engineers.Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, design, and optimization techniquesExperience leading a team of data engineers and managing project timelinesAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersFamiliarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Proficient in SQL, Python, and other programming languages.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalFamiliarity with data security and privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPAPreferred qualifications:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldSnowflake Certification(s)Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, such as AWS Redshift or Google BigQueryFamiliarity with agile development methodologiesExposure to Snowflake Cortex and IcebergAdditional InformationIf you meet the qualifications and are excited about the opportunity to lead our data engineering team, we encourage you to apply for this position. Job Opportunity:
BLEND360 is hiring a Senior Data Engineering Manager on a contract-to-hire basis. The candidate will lead the data engineering team, particularly with Snowflake, and will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the Snowflake data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the data engineering team’s daily operations.
  • Manage the development of data pipelines and ensure data accuracy.
  • Implement best practices for Snowflake architecture and ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Conduct hiring, training, and performance management of team members.
  • Enhance data engineering processes and ensure compliance with security regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years in data engineering, with at least 2 years of Snowflake experience.
  • 4+ years in a managerial role.
  • Strong Snowflake knowledge and experience with SQL, Python.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with data security regulations (GDPR, CCPA) is preferred.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in a related field and Snowflake Certification.
  • Experience with cloud data warehousing (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Exposure to agile methodologies and Snowflake Cortex/Iceberg.
