What You’ll be Doing
The Senior Manager, Paid Digital Marketing Analytics is a member of the larger Digital Measurement & Insights team. The Digital Measurement & Insights team is responsible for leveraging sales and digital marketing data to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable reports, dashboards and insights. We work in partnership with our Digital Sales & Strategy team to set annual digital sales targets, analyze digital marketing journeys, and forecast end of month, quarter and year performance. Our collaboration extends to other CIBC Digital teams including Digital Paid Media, Personalization, Data Integration, and Agile Sales & Marketing to drive lasting improvements that focus on promoting products that are most relevant to our clients. Our team is accountable for developing a holistic story that is easy to digest by various audiences. We obsess with understanding the entire digital client journey and making data driven recommendations with the objective of meeting aggressive campaign and annual targets. Recommendations feed into robust Close The Gap plans when applicable with a focus on optimization opportunities.
How You’ll Succeed
- Leadership & Communication – As a senior manager, you lead by example assisting the larger Digital Measurement & Insights team to set standards and to develop and execute the Paid Media Measurement & Insights roadmap with the goal of delivering timely, accurate, fulsome and efficient performance reporting, and allocating more time and effort on proactive insights. You are keenly focused on improving overall team collaboration, efficiencies, and performance. You consistently take initiative and produce a high volume of quality work no matter the challenge thrown your way. You do so in a manner that requires minimal guidance. As a senior member of the team, you embrace the principles of continuous improvement and proactively play a change agent role demonstrating your motivation to see the larger team succeed.
- Digital Marketing Technology Skills – Specialized knowledge with advertising platforms across Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc. You have experience with Data Studio, Google Cloud Architecture, BigQuery Date Warehousing, Google Analytics. Proven experience analyzing digital media data (i.e. Google Ads, Campaign Manager, SA360, DV360); developing audience segments for deeper analysis and actioning through optimization tools (i.e. Adobe Target); leveraging data management platforms (i.e. Adobe Audience Manager) to optimize digital media, website and mobile app user experiences.
- Digital Paid Marketing Reporting – Enable our in-house paid media team by developing, visualizing, automating and giving them access to the real-time, multi-channel, holistic Paid Media dashboards they require to deliver on their evolving needs and day-to-day accountabilities. Support efforts that assist with teasing out our understanding of budget pacing, headroom, channel impact (ex. social vs SEM), and tactic impact (ex. upper vs lower funnel). You will partner with Google, Amazon, Facebook to guide the building & maintenance of CIBC’s marketing data warehouse infrastructure and new technology implementation. As Sr Manager, your accountabilities will include: ETL (extract, transform, load) within BigQuery, custom SQL views, and supporting integration into CIBC’s marketing data warehouse for backend analysis.
- Digital Paid Marketing Analysis & Insights –Accountable to drive initiatives to successful completion and take proactive steps to do so. Responsible for analyzing and gleaning insights from data using a multi-step approach including i) Ingest: sourcing the data, ii) Transform: prepare, clean, and transform the data, iii) Store: create, save, and store datasets, iv) Analyze: derive insights from the data, v) Visualize: explore and present data insights. Experience with developing forecasts and deriving insights by leveraging multiple data types (ex. client attributes, marketing assets, etc) to inform paid media, audience, and personalization optimization opportunities. As Sr Manager, you will contribute to the development of a multi-platform digital attribution methodology that will inform paid media campaign strategies and set-up.
- Detail oriented, highly analytical, diligent and passionate about using data and insights to tell a powerful story. Strong ability to query data and both visualize and present the story to various stakeholders including senior executive audiences.
