This role requires a strong analytical background, a deep understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling, and the ability to drive data-driven product decisions that directly impact our courier experience. You will work closely with our Data Scientists to develop and optimize the models that power our network pricing programs.Location: Winnipeg or Toronto or Calgary.Work environment : The role involves a hybrid work model with an emphasis on collaboration during key project phases. It requires participation in regular sprint ceremonies and thrives in a fast-paced environment demanding quick decisions. This high-visibility position offers direct impact on user experience and business growth, and involves close collaboration with backend engineering teams.Reporting to: Head of ProductThese are some of the key ingredients to the role:Lead product discovery and development for data-science-focused initiatives, including new and predictive models for improving the efficiency of our logistics networkEstablish clear success metrics for data science models and track leading and lagging indicators to measure effectiveness.Partner with Data Science and Behavioral Analytics teams to design and execute A/B and multivariate tests.Generate data-driven insights to inform product strategy and feature development in delivery pricing.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.Translate hypotheses into technical requirements for pricing models and create detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).Take full ownership of experiment and pricing timelines, providing proactive communication and meeting deadlines consistently.What will you bring to the table?Experience in product management experience with focus on data science, growth, experimentation, and optimizationExperience with pricing programs, loyalty systems, or reward mechanismsUnderstanding of backend systems, APIs, and data architecture principlesStrong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologiesProficiency with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar)Experience with experimentation platforms and growth frameworksProven track record of driving measurable business impact through product initiativesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to executivesExperience working in agile development environments with cross-functional teamsNice to haveBackground in data science, analytics, or quantitative fieldsTechnical expertise or experience collaborating with backend engineering teamsProficient in product frameworks like RICE prioritization and experienced in managing complex product experimentsKnowledgeable in behavioral psychology and user experience, with experience in consumer-facing digital products or marketplace environmentsThis role offers significant professional development, enabling individuals to gain expertise in product experimentation, pricing initiatives, and backend systems, with opportunities to mentor junior team members and engage in executive-level discussions.What It’s Like To Work At Skip:SKIP is the kind of workplace that garnered a “Top Places to Work in Manitoba” and it was no small coincidence.
