You will be a key contributor to the holistic strategic blueprints to fulfill our market strategy and customer experience vision while incorporating operating and business strategy. You’re confident in engaging team members, customers, industry groups, and our executive team. In addition, you will drive our system, platform and data strategy in partnership with our technology/IT peers as we continue our digital transformation journey. Your ability to match technology to business outcomes is critical to our go to market success. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape our future within the dynamic wholesale ICT industry, help make important capital decisions and improve the experience for our Global customers and suppliers.What you’ll do
- Position TELUS as the Partner of choice for our Global Service Provider base
- Ability to understand corporate business strategies and goals, and apply this understanding to make B2B systems/technology development decisions
- Develop long term strategies to enable Partner Solutions Digital Transformation supporting our market strategy, product capabilities, customer experience journey and value chain enhancements to drive profitable outcomes for the company
- Obtain cross functional and executive alignment on system, platform and data roadmaps
- Work with our cross functional support teams, to evolve our Digital Transformation roadmap in support of faster time-to-market, lower development costs and an exceptional customer experience
- Track and prioritize feature/surface/system development work from concept to launch
- Responsible for business case development, scenario building and capital planning working in partnership with product managers and other relevant stakeholders
- Identify operational and process improvements and quickly set-up lightweight processes to fill gaps
- Manage multiple, time-sensitive projects simultaneously
- Manage the risks, issues and actions for account(s) and track them to meet expected outcomes and timelines, building mitigation plans as the program evolves
- Enhance our governance and reporting capabilities to drive better decisions and business outcomes
- Communicate and present roadmaps and digitization strategy with key stakeholders
QualificationsWhat you bring
- You are a strong leader with recognized strategic planning and execution abilities along with a proven track record of delivering results
- You have strong technical and business acumen with the critical ability to articulate and manage at the conceptual level, as well as dive deep into solution details when required
- You have a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn, understand, and work with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
- You have financial analysis and business case development experience with the ability to integrate financial analysis into business decisions to drive high impact solutions with maximum value
- You have a strong knowledge of wireless/fixed broadband, Telecom IT systems and platforms
- You are a big picture thinker who can provide end-to-end oversight to typically siloed functions
- You have a passion for excellence, strong work ethic, and are solutions-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit that constantly challenges the status quo
- Your enthusiasm for learning and innovation, love of a challenge and leadership capabilities will be keys to your success
Great-to-haves
- Engineering, IT or related technical university degree (Undergrad), Masters or MBA is an asset
- 8+ years business background in a technology industry with relevant experience in a product management or service / software development role
- Influential relationship skills to develop business strategies, secure executive support and obtain cooperation / consensus from key stakeholders while maintaining personal credibility
- Understanding of the telecom business and knowledge of agile methodologies and tools is an asset
- Knowledge of TELUS cross-functional operations and/or industry network an asset
Salary Range: $102,000-$154,000Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location. Additionally, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
