We are looking for a skilled Machine Learning Engineer/Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms that power our 112G, and 224G serial interfaces. The candidate will also have an opportunity to experience work in industry, broaden the knowledge of key aspects of serial communication links.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning techniques, data analysis, and software development, along with a passion for applying machine learning to real-world problems.What You Can Expect
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into machine learning solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning algorithms and models for tasks such as classification, regression, clustering, recommendation systems, reinforcement learning, and supervised learning.
- Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data augmentation to prepare datasets for model training and evaluation.
- Optimize and fine-tune machine learning models for improved accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to gain insights and identify patterns in large datasets.
- Evaluate and benchmark machine learning models using appropriate metrics and techniques such as cross-validation and hyperparameter tuning.
- Optimize and fine-tune machine learning models for scalability, efficiency, and accuracy in production environments.
- Implement model monitoring and maintenance procedures to ensure ongoing model accuracy and reliability.
- Work closely with data engineers to design and maintain data pipelines for model training and inference.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate machine learning models into production systems and ensure smooth deployment and monitoring.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows for efficient data processing and model training.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in machine learning, data science, and related fields, and propose innovative solutions to improve our machine learning capabilities.

- Candidate MUST be currently pursuing a MS or PhD degree (PhD preferred) in CS/EE or related technical field(s)
- Previous experience in industry is not required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent Research and Development experience in machine learning algorithms and models
- Strong analytical skills; Strong problem-solving skills
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Programming skills in C/C++, MATLAB, or Python
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning, and supervised learning
- Knowledge of a SerDes system is a big plus
