Students undertake an academic internship with a startup company, in addition to meeting regularly in class to discuss and share their experiences. The course is designed to provide students with an opportunity to apply academic learning in a professional context, build their network, and explore entrepreneurship as a potential career path. In-class activities facilitate the application of entrepreneurial tools to develop the students’ entrepreneurial understanding. The Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto is seeking a Sessional Lecturer to teach the course ENT391H1F – Exploring New Ventures. This course allows students to gain practical experience in startup companies through internships and in-class discussions. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
– Answer and direct phone calls
– Organize and schedule appointments
– Write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
– Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
– Maintain a filing system
– Update and maintain office policies and procedures
– Order office supplies
– Provide general support to visitors
