The Specialist, Donor Engagement Programs is a critical member of the Brand and Donor Engagement team, dedicated to building the mental health movement through compelling engagement opportunities.This role is responsible for the project management and execution of activities within CAMH Foundation’s donor engagement programs, including womenmind, Business Leaders for Mental Health Action, and CAMH Engage. The Specialist will work closely with the Sr. Manager, Donor Engagement Programs to deliver high-quality engagement experiences across a variety of channels-such as virtual events, in-person events, digital communications, and content.The Specialist will also maintain strong collaborative relationships with colleagues across the Fundraising, Impact Communications, and Events teams to ensure seamless activation of donor engagement tactics. You’ll manage exciting donor projects, build meaningful relationships, and support our mission to transform lives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the project management and activation of donor engagement program tactics, managing core project elements including project timelines, development of briefs, coordination of internal teams to support event elements like invitations and speaking remarks.
- Manage communication timelines and provide ongoing status updates to cross-functional teams.
- Support the implementation of meaningful engagement activities across a wide array of platforms (in person, events, written communications, digital etc.) for priority donor groups.
- Collaborate and liaise with vendors, hospital, and business partners to help deliver best-in-class meaningful community engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Segment Leads, Finance, Operations, Event Activation, Impact Communications) to identify donor needs and opportunities to enhance the donor experience of priority donor communities through donor programs.
- Maintain project budget tracking and report back mechanism.
- Manage invoice and approval process for program engagement tactics.
- Support Sr. Manager Donor Engagement Programs with adhoc special projects.
- Create and maintain processes that enable excellent cross-functional collaboration between segment and relationship leads and the Marketing and Donor Experience team. Ensure that all internal stakeholders have an opportunity to provide input and feedback on program strategies and tactics.
- Contribute to the definition of key performance indicators for donor engagement programs and activities and collaborate closely with Sr. Manager, Donor Engagement Programs on the feedback and data collection process on a quarterly basis (at minimum) to evaluate the efficacy of programs and tactics based on quantitative and qualitative data and input from internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for disseminating feedback and learnings and implementing them to future activity.
- Evaluate data and utilize research and insights into donors across segments to establish baselines and inform program development.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and collaborative culture within both the Brand & Donor Engagement team broader the Foundation team.
- Post secondary education or a combination of relevant comparable skills.
- 3-5 years of previous work experience in marketing, project management or events.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Exemplary attention to detail with excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Understanding of project management fundamentals.
- Comfort with ambiguity and building new processes.
- Excellent relationship-building with internal and external relationships to achieve results.
- Exceptional communication skills with evidence of strong and persuasive writing skills complemented by superior attention to detail.
- Understanding of what makes a great event or piece of communication, ability to create emotionally compelling experiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- High level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and be self-motivated in a high-pressure and demanding work environment.
- Flexible, agile, and comfortable in managing change.
- Proven ability to exercise diplomacy and good judgment.
- Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office products; Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Working knowledge of Canva, project management platforms and internet tools.
- Occasional work on evenings and weekends required.
