Job description: Overview:Merrick & Company is seeking a college or graduate school Architect student for a paid summer Co-Op for Summer 2025 at our Ottawa, Ontario office. What You’ll Do:The summer Co-Op will provide the Architecture student an opportunity to gain technical experience in the field of architecture. The position requires the ability to receive specific and detailed instructions regarding architectural tasks. The position requires the collaboration with other drafters/designers, the ability to follow directions and schedules, work independently, possess good written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to problem solve. Must be team oriented, self-starting and focused on producing good design in a most efficient manner and meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Revit.
- Must be pursuing an Architecture degree from an CACB accredited program or a current graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Architecture.
- Must include a portfolio with application.
- Client projects for this position require Canadian Citizenship.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic skills in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, and 3D MAX.
- Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and graphic experience.
- Local candidates are strongly preferred.
