The summer intern as R&D Verification Engineer joins the EBU to conduct software testing such as Maxwell 2D/3D applications. This role assesses how well the product meets customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied. This is a fully remote opportunity from May 2025 – August 2025.Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, application, regression and performance testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible causes of problems
  • Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company’s overall development and testing processes​
  • Work in a variety of computing environments, e.g. Windows, Linux, Virtual Machines.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field
  • Technical knowledge and experience with electromagnetics, electric motors, power electronics, thermal/structural analysis
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Ansys product portfolio, especially Ansys Electronics Desktop
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting language, like Python

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with electromagnetics simulation tools
  • Familiarity with analysis tools, such as Ansys Maxwell is a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems

This role assesses how well the product meets customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied.
