  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in quality control and/or the construction industry, including supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Solid understanding of the construction industry, including specifications, drawings, methods, and procedures.
  • Excellent construction inspection skills across a broad range of scopes of work.
  • Knowledge of various engineering systems, principles, and practices.
  • Good understanding of and ability to interpret construction industry codes.
  • Familiarity with planning and sequencing concepts.
  • Ability to identify quality risks associated with the project.
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications, visualizing two-dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
  • Experience with internal project-quality assessments.
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize work, and delegate.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Conflict resolution and difficult conversation skills, with the ability to lead and effectively resolve disputes with trade contractors/supervisors.
  • Strong ability to coach and mentor.
  • Strong capability for adopting new technology.
  • Advanced skills with quality computer applications.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
