Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Product Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager understands product-led growth strategies for B2B SaaS products and has successfully implemented them in the past. Utilizing product metrics, funnel analysis, and pricing decisions are areas you have experience owning, analyzing, and driving the market and buyers to support the Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) SMB go-to-market strategy. The successful candidate will require close collaboration and partnership with colleagues across business functions, including product management, sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
What you will do
- Define the SMB market opportunity for ICM; performing targeting and segmentation research that identifies segments with the highest propensity to buy.
- Distill customer and market insights to identify new market opportunities, critical gaps and leverage insights to inform our Product, Sales, and other organizational stakeholders.
- Partner with Competitive Intelligence and other internal teams to gather and analyze TAM and competitive information to create a point of view to support product portfolio, new product launches and to better position the business for profitable growth
- Support the ongoing growth of new products and services.
- Conduct research to gather data and insight about crucial buyer roles, needs, and purchasing requirements.
- Influence product development via well-defined market requirements.
- Partner with product management to create competitive intelligence and content for use in positioning ICM against similar offerings.
- Create personas and build differentiated positioning and messaging for ICM SBM based on buyer understanding, marketing trends.
- Collaborate sales enablement to produce sales enablement plans and deliver sales materials.
- Plan and orchestrate product launch/release activities using practical tools and techniques to maximize market penetration and sales impact.
- Provide and buyer insights to drive campaign strategies, including demand creation and reputation building.
- Create marketing content, including messaging guides, presentations, articles, blog posts, digital/social assets, etc., in close collaboration with campaigns, digital marketing, and community teams.
- Assist in the development of customer references, testimonials, and case studies for external and internal use.
- Evangelize and serve as spokesperson for ICM SMB by speaking at proprietary and third-party events to create market “buzz” and drive higher value to customers and the business.
- Support analyst and media relations activities to improve Varicent and ICM SMB awareness and consideration.
What you will bring
- B.A./B.S in marketing or related field
- Experience with B2B SaaS products – You understand product-led growth strategies for SaaS products
- 5+ years of work experience with 5+ years of experience in product marketing or related roles
- Ability to converse with product managers and developers and distill technical information into meaningful and straightforward marketing messaging and storylines
- Operates effectively in a dynamic environment, is adaptable, and keeps a can-do attitude
- Strong interpersonal and teaming skills that foster cross-functional teamwork and collaboration
- Demonstrated bias for action and driving results
- Sales Performance Management or HCM software industry experience preferred
- Product management experience is a plus
