We are looking for a creative and talented Menu Development Chef to join our team. The Menu Development Chef will be responsible for creating new and innovative menu items, developing and testing recipes, and ensuring that all menu items meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
– Develop new menu items in line with current food trends and customer preferences
– Work closely with the culinary team to develop and test recipes
– Conduct research on new ingredients and cooking techniques
– Ensure that all menu items are cost-effective and meet quality standards
– Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients
– Coordinate with the marketing team to create marketing materials for new menu items
– Train kitchen staff on the preparation and presentation of new menu items
– Monitor food costs and margins to maximize profitability
Qualifications:
– Culinary degree or equivalent experience
– 5+ years of experience in menu development or culinary leadership role
– Strong knowledge of food trends and industry best practices
– Creativity and innovation in developing new menu items
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
– Experience with food costing and menu analysis
– Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
