Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for an Editorial Assistant with strong writing and content creation skills, SEO knowledge, and digital publishing experience to place at our client, a major international retailer.
Client: Major International Retailer
Terms: 11 Month Contract.

Job Description:

  • Monitor and update products within articles in assigned verticals to ensure inventory and sales opportunities are maximized.
  • Rewrite existing articles and content, including managing assignments to 3rd party writers, to improve usefulness of content, and ensure products and references are up to date.
  • Continuously monitor analytics and perform user testing as required, to prioritize areas of improvement.
  • KPIs: # of articles optimized / month, % lift in program KPIs

Key Qualifications:

  • College or university degree in journalism, communications or marketing.
  • 1-3 years’ experience writing and editing for digital lifestyle publications and/or content marketing experience within ecommerce.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SEO and digital publishing best practices and a proven ability to create compelling digital content, with an understanding how individual content fits within a customer’s shopping journey.
  • Eagerness to explore and execute new content formats.
  • Experience working with project management tools (ie. Wrike, Airtable, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail, superior organizational and time management skills.
