They are a core member the Digital and Marketing team that focuses on driving data-driven decision-making, providing strategic guidance, and overseeing the implementation of solutions to solve for marketing business problems. Objectives of the role include:
- Defining the marketing technology vision, strategy, and roadmap, identifying opportunities for new technologies and capabilities to support business objectives
- Informing and partnering with business and technology leaders as well as vendors to advance our digital client/advisor/wholesaler experience, marketing capabilities, and technology/data roadmaps
- Leading a team of digital professionals to support the build of, and to manage ongoing operations of our core digital properties supporting both strategic initiatives and BAU needs in collaboration with technology partners (personalization, media optimization, use of data, etc.)
- Advancing and institutionalizing modern marketing capabilities and processes
- Building a high performing team including technical/personal development and mentoring
Key Accountabilities:
- Defining the marketing technology vision, strategy, and roadmap, identifying opportunities for new technologies and capabilities to support business objectives
- Setting and socializing the strategic vision and strategy for marketing technology investments and capabilities
- Working with external vendors to identify and integrate best-in-class capabilities
- Collaborating with UX, UI, Product and IS in the development of new digital experiences, platforms and journeys
- Leading the technical solutioning across the intersection of digital technology, marketing capabilities, and experience design decisions
- Manage performance marketing team in partnership with brand marketers and agencies
- Lead the email marketing team and platforms and evolve to omni channel journey capabilities
- Advancing and institutionalizing marketing capabilities and processes by building and integrating our marketing technology platforms into our digital channels in support of an integrated marketing approach
- Defining and institutionalizing processes for “always on” personalization, digital audience management, A/B testing, and digital asset management
- Delivering digital analytics and insights on our digital properties to stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Audience Analysis and Growth: Use digital analytics tools to analyze and segment our audiences, collaborate with marketing and business to identify growth opportunities
- Content Opportunities: Monitor/evaluate performance of digital content, identifying trends/opportunities for improvement through personalization and optimization
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategies for content creation, marketing campaigns, and user experience enhancements
- Testing and Optimization: Plan and execute tests to evaluate the impact of different content and marketing approaches on audience engagement and conversion
- Insights Sharing: Regularly communicate audience insights and performance metrics to key stakeholders, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Computer Science or a related field (Advanced degree preferred)
- 7+ years of experience leading digital marketing teams with a focus on channel operations, campaign operations, media and advertising and marketing technology implementation and operations
- A range of experience across consulting, media/ad agency and in house client marketing teams is valued
- Working in a digital COE / matrix organization with digital transformation experience
- Hands on experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Adobe and Salesforce Marketing Technology ecosystems and other digital platforms preferred.
- Deep understanding of marketing metrics, attribution models, and campaign performance measurement, with a strategic mindset to provide actionable recommendations
- Exceptional leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of digital marketers, promote a collaborative culture, and drive results
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and insights to executive stakeholders
