Job Description

Title: PL/SQL Developer

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year

Our client, a leading financial services firm in Toronto, is seeking a Senior PL/SQL Developer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the organization’s core applications using PL/SQL and Oracle databases. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and functionality.

Responsibilities:

– Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL code for applications and databases
– Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
– Perform code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality, scalable applications
– Collaborate with other developers and IT teams to integrate new solutions and optimize existing systems
– Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, and maintenance
– Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve development processes

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
– 5+ years of experience in PL/SQL development and Oracle databases
– Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL
– Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting
