The HVAC Pre-Apprentice will be assigned daily duties to support Daikin Field Service. Daily tasks will cover a variety of HVAC equipment related to commercial markets.
What you will do:

• Gain experience with HVAC commercial service:

• Systems operation under contract with customer, filter changing, oil and greasing, belt adjusting or replacing, cleaning of cooling towers, coils, evaporators and condenser tubes and water treatment.
• General housekeeping, truck driving, including pick-up and delivery of parts or equipment.
• Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication.
• Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audience.
• Participate in safety & site specific training.

Qualifications:
Must have:

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, prefer students with a 3.5 or better
• Currently enrolled in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (A.A.S) program
• Successfully completed at least one semester of coursework toward AAS degree
• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week for the duration of the summer.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computerized service software system(s).

Nice to have:

• Experience in HVAC or related industry
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification
• Current first aid / CPR card
