In this role you’ll use a variety of UX research techniques in collaboration with other members of the UX Research Team, UX Designers, Product Owners and Strategists to help improve the experience of CIBC’s digital properties. Furthermore, you will assist in recording and summarizing research findings and presenting the analysis in compelling formats that are easy to understand and action.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-2 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How you will succeedUser Research and Testing: You’ll assist and perform generative and evaluative user research using a variety of methods in collaboration with other researchers (one-on-one interviews, surveys, usability testing, card sorting, analytics analysis).Data Analysis, Interpretation and Presentation: You’ll help analyze qualitative interview data using coding and quantitative survey results using statistical methods to surface recommendations. You will help in the planning, execution, analysis and presentation of studies to various stakeholders, interpret research findings and explain them in a way that’s easy to understand to help build empathy.UX Research Tools: You can demonstrate experience in or knowledge of Excel and surveying methods. Any knowledge of using a UX research platform such as UserTesting, UserZoom or Figma/Figjam would be considered an asset.Communication: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate ideas and opinions that involve research, interpretation, and assessment. Your time management skills are strong and you are able to prioritize competing priorities to ensure successful outcomes.Process Improvement: You enjoy the process of reviewing current processes and identifying improvements that will optimize or improve standardsWho you areYou have a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Cognitive Science, Information Studies, Anthropology, or a related field.You can demonstrate 1 to 2 years of work experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods in the areas of survey designYou have attention to detail with an ability to summarize findings and identify trendsYou have clear communication skills with strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
