Job Title: Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Specialist to support our innovative VDC process. This role focuses on the accurate digital representation of electrical systems, working closely with Project Layout Designers (PLD) to construct a comprehensive digital model that adheres to Miller Electric standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Project Layout Designers to understand project requirements and electrical layout specifications.
• Utilize Revit software to create and modify detailed digital models of electrical systems.
• Ensure all models are compliant with company standards and industry best practices.
• Conduct thorough reviews of digital designs for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Assist in coordination meetings, providing insights on electrical layouts and potential design challenges.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VDC tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve project efficiencies.
• Support the integration of various building systems within the digital model for streamlined project execution.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Revit and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and their layouts in construction.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of VDC processes and Building Information Modeling (BIM) principles is a plus.
