Job description: SENIOR MANAGER – INFLUENCER STRATEGY
Weber Shandwick is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Influencer Strategy to join our Integrated Media team in Toronto. Our team is passionate, diverse, and dedicated to protecting and promoting some of Canada’s most iconic and beloved brands. We also know how to have fun while doing it!
In this role, you will be responsible for bringing our clients’ stories to life through working with content creators and influential voices. We are looking for a team player who has their finger on the pulse of online culture, as well as the latest technology, trends and opportunities in the social and digital world.
The ideal candidate has a true passion and understanding of online pop culture and is part of the community. This job is the intersection of creative, strategy, marketing, technology, content creation and production. You must influence creative ideations: from the ideas presented to the influencers selected, to the content created, all the way down to the language used in post copy. A solid understanding of the influencer landscape is required, along with a proven ability to build, speak and grow relationships with change agents and cultural makers (celebrities, influencers, artists, thought leaders) directly or via their agents.
With 4-7 years of experience, you will work alongside an integrated team to drive earned coverage and activate influencer and social programs that yield meaningful and measurable results for some of the biggest brands in Canada.

Responsibilities:
- Help develop and execute innovative and award-winning integrated influencer campaigns for major Canadian and global brands
- Craft influencer strategies and oversee end-to-end execution of campaigns, including briefing, content creation, measurement and reporting
- Research, vet, contract, and manage relationships with influencer talent
- Understand and apply best-in-class social media practices, leveraging platform capabilities
- Play a supporting role in the agency’s Influencer center of excellence, developing and managing key relationships with talent agencies and content creators, and implementing best-in-class tools and processes for identification, contract negotiation, content planning, measurement, and ROI analysis
- Manage and build relationships with influencers and third-party agents
- Stay informed about current news cycles and social/cultural trends to identify agile influencer opportunities
- Provide expert counsel to clients and colleagues on social/digital/influencer best practices
- Assist in the development and coaching of junior team members
Key Qualifications:
- Approximately 4-7 years of experience in influencer marketing, social media strategy, and/or digital content, with a strong emphasis on working with influencers
- Strong understanding of the overall social media landscape, with a focus on digital experience
- Established influencer and agency relationships, with illustrative examples of past success
- Proven ability to garner earned-first coverage and conversation on behalf of brands, organizations, companies, or other institutions
- Familiarity with a broad set of social and influencer analytics tools
- Ability to work effectively with integrated agency teams
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and resilient to ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset
- Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
