Job Summary:
As an Assistant Store Manager at PetSmart, you’ll help lead the team in the success of the store by ensuring that customers and pets have a positive experience. You’ll directly manage and supervise the retail staff and the overall store operations. From hiring and training associates to executing on strategic merchandising and inventory management, the Assistant Store Manager will play an important role in helping to lead the store team to exceeding sales goals and creating an outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities:
– Directly supervise and manage all aspects of store operations including: managing the team, ensuring overall store appearance, and executing marketing and promotional strategy
– Partner with store leadership to ensure an excellent customer experience
– Create a positive, fun, and team-oriented work environment
– Lead a team of retail and pet care associates
– Prepare to be immersed in the exciting world of pets and pet care

Qualifications:
– 2 years of retail leadership experience
– Exceptional leadership and management skills
– Excellent communications, customer service, and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
– High level of comfort with pet care and knowledge of the PetSmart mission and values
