Rogers Digital is seeking a Tech Lead within our Marketing Technology function to join our high performing team. You will develop amazing experiences that bring our brands to life and solve complex problems for our customers using the latest emerging technologies.
You will be a key player in developing the marketing technology portfolio, from both the strategy and execution perspective across the Rogers brands. You will be a core member of the team with responsibilities that range from influencing the technical design and technology decisions to working cross-functionally with the business and a team of engineers, while delivering best in class enterprise grade software solutions across a breadth of different platforms contributing to building exceptional digital delivery capability that will modernize marketing execution for our brands.
What you will do:
- Drive delivery of high-quality marketing products and features by working with multi-functional leads (product, design, marketing) to define, scope and prioritize upcoming projects
- Provide technical guidance and participate directly in implementation milestones as required
- Enable business and marketing teams to build E2E marketing campaigns on their own levering marketing tools such as SAS, Adobe and CDPs
- Support integration with API’s, SDK ‘s and/or client-side tracking
- Be an advisor to design/ build the tooling / provisioning, and develop CI/CD pipelines and automation framework
- Conduct PR code reviews and ensure the business has the correct versioning of environments
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align on digital and marketing objectives and roadmap
- Work with product managers and third party to identify best in class digital experiences
- Collaborate across teams to ensure that the technical requirements align to the portfolio strategy & product roadmaps, to determine priority and sequence of technology delivery
- Support troubleshooting errors identified in the customer journey
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and propose innovative technical solutions
- Stay curious and keep current – be the internal champion for trends, best practices, new tools, and innovation in your space
- Intake and organize issues and concerns with automation by working cross-functionally to design creative workarounds, and implement solutions
- Manage external vendor project delivery.
What you will bring:
- Expertise with digital marketing platforms product strategy and planning
- Obsession with delivering high quality marketing products to market in a timely manner
- Min 5 years related work experience delivering marketing automation and marketing technology projects
- Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud, Google Marketing Platform, SAS and/or CDPs
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
- A good understanding of creating web applications and working with a headless CMS, ideally with hands on experience in front-end web design and development
- An excellent knowledge of html, css, and javascipt and optimizing scripts for page load speeds
- Good understanding of dev ops process, git hub, and branching
- Tag Management experience using Adobe Launch or Google Tag Manager
- An understanding of iframes and web components (react framework) and merits of each approaches
- Ability to develop a data model using json based on business requirements that meets the requirements of downstream applications for marketing, analytics, and data science
- Experience in writing functional requirement documents and specifications
- Extensive experience in using REST APIs and testing with tools such as post man
- An intermediate knowledge of node js or willingness to learn node.js
- A conceptual understanding of application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or datadog
- Good Communication skills and exposure to agile methodology (Kanban and scrum)
- Bonus – Understanding of mobile development frameworks and exposure to mobile app development
