We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing team (based in downtown Toronto but also open to remote candidates). Reporting to the Business Unit Director for Insurance, the incumbent will utilize their expertise in paid marketing and growing skillset in SEO to deepen the marketing impact of the insurance business vertical and ultimately drive revenue back to the business. This is an ideal opportunity for someone that wants to take greater ownership around strategy and execution for a quickly scaling organization.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Paid Marketing

  • Develop and execute the paid marketing strategy for the Insurance Business Unit, in alignment with identified business goals
  • Set up, execute and monitor paid marketing campaigns across a variety of channels (Google Ads/Bing, Facebook, Instagram, etc) to align with budget and reach performance targets, campaigns may include:
  • Prospecting
  • Retargeting
  • Remarketing
  • Lookalike
  • Develop, optimize and maintain campaigns and flows to ensure that ads, landing pages and targeting perform optimally
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing stakeholders with clear recommendations for strategy evolvement
  • Continuously look for ways to improve campaigns and drive growth, including testing new ad copy, new channels, strategies, techniques and tools
  • Share learnings, best practices, and guidance across the marketing team

SEO

  • Collaborate, strategize & help execute the SEO strategy for Insurance
  • Perform technical SEO audits to identify on and off-page opportunities, and areas for performance improvement
  • Perform keyword research, A/B testing, and competitor audits to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for strategy optimization
  • Research and monitor general SEO trends, making recommendations to improve our strategy/tactics as necessary
  • Share learnings, best practices, and guidance within Ratehub’s SEO steering committee

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years experience executing and optimizing paid marketing campaigns required
  • Previous SEO experience, including KW identification/monitoring, testing and analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Ads and Google Analytics is required
  • Experience with SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Facebook Ads, Heap Analytics is not required, but preferred
  • Analytical competency – comfortable using tools like google sheets/excel and user/campaign analytics dashboards/reporting to analyze performance trends
  • Comfortable taking direction and working in a collaborative environment with other team members
  • Comfortable building decks in Google Slides/Powerpoint and presenting when necessary
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline: We value intelligence over relevance
  • A resourceful and self-motivated individual, eager to join a fast-growing organization
  • Knowledge of financial products not required, but an interest in personal finance is a huge bonus, as is previous experience in the financial or real estate sector
  • A strong team player with a caring and attentive attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a fast paced environment

What You’ll Do

  • Leverage data to drive improvements in our paid media owned audience acquisition and engagement processes:
  • Effectively manage strategy and planning for paid media acquisition and engagement campaigns for Canadian Tire and Triangle mobile apps;
  • Drive enhancements for our paid media email acquisition through finding the insights in the data;
  • Reporting to the key stakeholders with the actionable insights and market trends;
  • Manage projects from briefing through launch and assessment;
  • Use qualitative and quantitative customer data and research to identify key insights that inform optimal targeting and messaging strategy;
  • Brief and work closely with internal creative design delivery teams;

  • Work with a diverse group of stakeholders to evolve our customer journeys:
  • Prioritize the highest impact journeys and work on enhancing them and driving the meaningful outcomes;
  • Develop deep cross-functional partnerships with AdOps, Owned Audience, Triangle, Promo, and Analytics teams;
  • Deploy personalized, targeted cross-channel campaigns within our Canadian Tire ecosystem (paid media platforms, email, app, website personalization) with a focus on digital strategy.
  • Drive opportunities for Localized Marketing:
  • Manage relationship with our Local Listings program;
  • Bring insights to the table on the performance of external publishers using visualization dashboard in Yext platform;
  • Work with internal teams and partners to maintain the high accuracy of the store information data;
  • Formalizing the local insights reporting.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Social Studies
  • 3+ years analytics and digital marketing experience with experience managing the budget
  • Highly analytical mindset with a history of leveraging data to make decisions, drive change and find continual improvement
