Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to be based at one of our Greater Toronto Area locations.This internship is expected to begin in the Fall 2025 term (September to December).The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Technical development and delivery of water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure in a municipal environment.
  • Design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater.
  • Supporting constructability reviews.
  • Preparing documentation for design projects and reports.
  • Supporting construction cost estimates.
  • Supporting project specifications and contract documents.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other related field and must have completed at least 3 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for this position. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their Bachelor’s Degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Experience with municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater conveyance infrastructure projects
  • Design of new conveyance systems or condition assessment or rehabilitation of existing conveyance systems would be an asset
  • Experience with MicroStation, Civil 3D, or AutoCAD would be an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients.
