Our expectations:
Student will assist in establishing and commissioning of a heat transfer rig. Student will be involved in making heat transfer measurements through thermography and post process the results to make meaningful inferences. Student will have work with the aerothermal engineers and the facility crew to ensure the rig runs smoothly and assist in characterizing and validating the rig. Student will have to constantly make presentations, participate in meetings and perform experiments and analyze the results.
What your day to day will look like:
Develop a good understanding of what is involved in the Heat tansfer rig process.
Programming in Matlab to develop tool features
Interact with supervisor and supporting team members for guidance
Provide weekly reports to supervisor
Prepare presentations of progress and milestones
What you need to be successful:
Must haves:
Be eligible to work in Canada
Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
Strong programming skills
Advanced English proficiency required (written and spoken)
Master/PhD candidates in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering or Engineering Physics
Must be experienced in experimental research
Assets:
Good communicator
Strong presentation skills
Experience related to heat transfer experience and thermagraphy is an asset.
