We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Specialist to be based at our Markham office. If you are someone who enjoys keeping up with social media trends and is quick on their feet to think of innovative ways to attract and engage more followers then we are looking for you.
As a Social Media Specialist you will be responsible for creating and posting content across various social platforms for a broad range of our clients. We are looking for someone who is competent in content development, deployment and maintaining social calendars that keep up with social trends all while maintaining the original voice of our client brands.
The ideal candidate is dynamic, proactive and detail oriented who can work independently as well as in a team on multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsible for:
- Maintaining an active, well-rounded personal presence in social media, showcasing each network and their best practices, and easily implementing the brand voice in each.
- Create social media strategies, plan weekly blog calendars and daily posts to grow brand awareness.
- Monitor and measure success of campaigns and continually improvise on strategies to ensure optimum performance.
- Work closely with the marketing team and account managers to ensure client goals are met.
- Observe and respond to comments as needed and work on feedback received to improve content of the post, increase traffic on posts and ensure wide influencer reach.
- Compile weekly reports of the content performance and provide the clients with recommendations on best practices to improve their brand image.
- Going the extra mile to engage customers and keeping aware of the latest online trends.
- Work collaboratively with marketing, content, and creative teams to create social assets that are appropriate for specific social channels and brand initiatives.
Skills
- Editing – Strong language and editing skills, with the ability to adjust content to remain consistent with the brand’s voice, style, and tone
- Organization – Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently while maintaining priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Social Media Marketing – Proven experience using social media channels to showcase and amplify the client’s content. Familiar with features, audience, and maintenance of key social media platforms and audiences
- Social Customer Care – Ability to handle a variety of customer service related issues on the social platforms.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of social media and digital marketing experience.
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and manage various social media platforms for various projects simultaneously.
- Grammar – guru
- A degree or equivalent in marketing/social media or any other related fields of study.
- Experience managing social media platforms and providing frontline customer service.
- Producing content for emails and organic social media posts
- Demonstrate immersion in social media (provide links to successfully marketed profiles if possible)
- Strong desire to learn and grow – learning doesn’t stop when school ends, we are big believers in continuing to take courses and workshops to grow
