Job Description:
– Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
– Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
– Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
– Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
– Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
– Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
– Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
– Call medical personnel in case of emergency and administer first aid as necessary
– Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions which might endanger client, its associates or public safety
– Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Minimum qualifications:
– High School Diploma or equivalent
– Clean driving record
– Valid security license
– Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable Provincial and municipal licensing requirements for Security Guards
– Must be available to work on all shifts: days, evenings and nights including weekends and statutory holidays
